At Integrity Assessments (iA) we strive to provide services that our clients recognise as being sound, honest and complete in all aspects. Doing it right the first time is what we endeavour to achieve.

The focus for iA is to ensure that clients’ needs are met and that the services we provide add value to the whole business.  This requires close engagement with clients to understand their requirements and strong interpersonal skills when meeting  and interacting with iA’s client’s customers.

About the Director

Darryl has worked as an insurance professional for more than 40 years. 

He commenced his career with the Royal Insurance Company Ltd which subsequently became Royal Sun Alliance and is now known as Vero. During his time at Royal he worked in Brisbane, Rabaul (PNG), North Queensland and Sydney.

Darryl held a number of senior management roles during his time at ‘Royal’ including that of Regional Manger NSW Branches and Regional Manager Sydney Metro. His final position at ‘Royal’ was that of Administration Services Manager NSW where he helped manage the successful run off of Worker’s Compensation business for ‘Royal’ in NSW.

Darryl left Sydney and joined Alexander Stenhouse (now AON) in Brisbane as Account Manager and subsequently Account Director.  He managed a number of corporate clients including GWA and Mt Isa Mines - MIM (now XStrata).  In his role as Account Director, Darryl successfully negotiated MIM’s Casualty program renewal terms with the London market.

As Brisbane was where Darryl decided to reside he joined what was then Suncorp General Insurance Ltd as Manager, Major Clients.  Following a number of restructures within Suncorp, Darryl was appointed Queensland Manager Commercial Insurance and eventually National Manager Commercial Insurance Division. 

In this national role Darryl was accountable for the strategic planning for Commercial Insurance Products and Personal Lines business through intermediaries. He was also accountable for the management and control of specific Key Performance Objectives for the Division nationally.  Whilst in this role ‘Suncorp Commercial’ expanded strategically into Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide and Perth. Whilst at the helm, the Commercial Insurance Division was awarded Underwriter of the Year by the Council of Qld. Insurance Brokers. ‘Suncorp Commercial’ is now also part of Vero.

Darryl then worked briefly for Premier Insurance Brokers (now Austbrokers Premier Pty Ltd).  A move to Lumley General Insurance followed as Queensland Development Manager and then State / Regional Manager Ansvar Insurance Ltd.

Darryl moved to Zurich Insurance Aust. Ltd. as Regional Underwriting Manager Qld / NSW - a Head Office role that required him to work every second week in Sydney. As a move interstate was not on Darryl’s agenda, appointments as State Manger – Qld SME & Packages and Development Manager Brisbane Metro followed.

Darryl left Zurich Insurance in December 2011 to establish Integrity Assessments.

  • Senior Associate of the Australian and New Zealand Institute of Insurance and Finance- ANZIIF (Snr. Assoc.)
  • CIP (Certified Insurance Professional)
  • Member of BIRMA (Business Insurance Risk Management Association of Queensland Inc.
  • Graduate of the Australian Institute of Management (AMP 85)
  • Tier 1 Insurance Broking
